WHETHER you recognise her as an ex-footballer or a TV pundit, there’s no doubt that Alex Scott always looks fabulous.
But the other thing that is pretty much guaranteed is that she’ll often have you asking the question – ‘how does she always look so fabulous?’
Some of us may know Alex Scott, 39, for being a former professional footballer for Arsenal and England, whilst others will recognise her from Strictly Come Dancing, but chances are, you will have admired her glowing skin and glossy hair many times before.
The TV presenter, who recently confirmed her relationship with singer songwriter Jess Glynne, always looks incredible, but just how does she do it?

Get moving: Alex’s exercise go-to’s
When it comes to exercise, you won’t be shocked to know that Alex is a fan of working out.
The Sunday Times best selling author previously told Women’s Health about her passion for boxing and speedy 5k runs.
She explained: “I love exercising first thing in the morning. I would normally get up and, if I’m going to my boxing class, [I’ll] be there by 8am, or I get up and I’ve been doing 5k runs a lot recently. Music on and just run.
“I’ve actually just got into the habit of listening to a podcast while I’m running.
“I always used to think it was strange and I was like ‘how do people do that?’ when actually it helps you get through the run and by the end of it, you’ve either learned about someone, their personality, their character or learned something new about life.”
Skin wins: It’s all about simple skincare
When it comes to her skincare heroes, you’ll be pleased to know that Alex’s regimen is super simple.
She told Women’s Health: “I shower first thing in the morning, I feel like it gets me fresh and ready to go.
“I think my go-to in the shower is just a Radox at the moment and Dermalogica to clean my face.
“I’m trying to get better [with my skincare routine] but it’s served me well so far, just Dermologica and face cream and suncream.
“As I’m getting older, [I] need to put suncream on.”
Not only this, but Alex is also a Garnier ambassador and swears by a number of cheap products from the much-loved brand.

Hair this: £12 box dyes from Boots
Back in summer, Alex debuted a brand new hair colour as she kicked off the Women’s World Cup – and surprisingly, it only cost her £12.
Taking to Instagram, Alex shared that she had ditched the pricey trip to the hair salon and instead spent just £12 on a bargain buy from Boots to get her hair looking fresh.
Using Garnier’s permanent hair dye in the shade 5.0 coffee roast brown, Alex took a leap and dyed her hair for the first time.
The brunette beauty told fans: “I wanted a brown that was warm but didn’t feel too heavy for summer. Garnier GOOD Shade 5.0 Coffee Roast Brown is exactly the rich brown I was after.”
Alex explained that she had never dyed her hair before, but it was easier than she expected, as she explained: “Garnier GOOD is super stress-free as it goes on just like a hair mask with a non-drip cream formula, and the result is this rich, glossy deep colour.
“I was worried about dying my hair and drying it out, but it honestly feels really healthy and nourished.”
Oh my colon: The surprising treatment Alex swears by
When it comes to looking good, according to Alex, it’s not just about what’s on the outside, but it’s also about your insides too.
Last year, Alex took to social media to share a series of candid posts about her health.
Whilst in Portugal, on a week-long wellness retreat called the Juice Master Retreat, where you spend seven days in the mountains hiking, swimming, and meditating, Alex went for a surprising treatment.
Speaking to her 1.8 million followers on Instagram, Scott said: “This may be a bit too much, TMI, but I am off for a colonic.”
She then added: “My first colonic of 2022. Ewwwww.”
When Alex refers to a “colonic”, she’s referencing a colonic irrigation procedure where a medical professional inserts a device to send water into your colon to flush out your large intestine.
In doing so, you’re thought to remove toxins from your system, boost energy levels, and enhance your immune system, although as an alternative therapy, more conclusive evidence on its benefits are needed.
It’s not the most common procedure, but other celebrities including Gwyneth Paltrow, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton are also thought to get them done.
