A WOMAN has shared her 96-year-old granny’s beauty secrets, including the cheap cream that she swears by for youthful skin.
Shannon Mitchell, a fashion and beauty fan from Belfast, shared her stunning grandmother’s ‘skincare must have’, which you can nab from Boots for only £6.50.
She claimed that her grandmother has been using the cream for over 70 years and as a result, looks ‘incredible’.
Posting on social media, the blonde beauty shared a photo of her ‘fresh-faced’ granny, who at the time the image was taken, was not wearing any make-up.
Shannon explained that people thought her granny’s age was a ‘mistake’, and many begged for her beauty ‘secret’.
Shannon then shared that her granny ‘swears by’ an Olay product that she has been using since she was 20-years-old.
As a result, Shannon went out and bought the product – which she claimed used to be called ‘Oil of Ulay’, but is now known as the Olay Beauty Fluid Face And Body Moisturiser, which you can find in Boots for £6.50.
The product, which Shannon claimed to have been first released in 1952, is a face and body moisturising fluid for sensitive skin.
According to the brand, the product provides 24 hours of hydration and moisture, leaving your skin feeling soft and nourished.
The non-greasy fluid provides an ideal base for make-up, and is a beauty classic for younger-looking skin.
Olay described the product as a ‘one bottle solution’ for your skincare needs, and due to its fast-absorbing and non-greasy formula, which is suitable for all skin types, on the face and body, it will not clog your pores, and will leave your skin feeling light and silky.
Shannon then tested out the product on her hand, as she described it as very ‘lightweight’ and very ‘thin’.
Despite the product’s plain packaging, Shannon was impressed with the cheap buy, which she claimed was ‘really nice’ and didn’t have a strong scent.

As Shannon then applied the cream to her face, she revealed her grandmother’s two beauty secrets when it comes to applying face cream.
She explained: “Oh, that’s another secret. She always says you have to bring your cream the whole way down your neck.

“And she did say rub in upwards motions.”
Clearly impressed with the cream, Shannon beamed: “This does feel lovely. Like it says on the packaging, I can imagine this being amazing underneath make-up, because it’s really just soaking into the skin.
“I love the feeling of this. I feel like there’s a plumpness to my skin.
“Thanks to Nanny Betty, I feel like this could be a new staple in my skincare.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @shannon_mitch, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 370,900 views in just one day.
Social media users were impressed with the bargain buy and were keen to express this in the comments.
