HYALURONIC acid is a skincare powerhouse: it’s naturally found in your eyes, joints and skin but has become a supplement in millions of people’s beauty routines.
And luckily, it’s just as cheap as it is effective – especially for beating signs of ageing by plumping out fine lines and wrinkles with intense hydration.

There’s serums, moisturisers and even tablets pumped up with it, but there’s also the Boots Ingredients Hyaluronic Acid Sleep Mask.
At just £5 for 30ml of product, the little pink tubes have received rave reviews.
One woman claims she “wakes up with glass skin” after applying it, while another found it “reduced wrinkles in a few days”.
Glass skin is when your face is so plumped with hydration that it’s almost translucent, like a sheet of glass.
The trend has over FOUR BILLION views on TikTok alone, with people across the globe desperate to achieve that luminous glass-like glow.
But according to Boots shoppers, you can get it with just one use of the pharmaceutical retailer’s overnight mask.
“I’ve been using this for the past two months,” one reviewed. “I’ve been telling all my friends to buy it.
“When I use it, it leaves my skin SO soft, smooth and radiant.
“It’s the most effective-for-the-price overnight product I’ve found for years. I’m very impressed.”
Jane, another buyer, rejoiced that it “reduced her wrinkles and dryness after a few days”.
“This is the best product I have ever used on my face,” a third penned on the Boots website.
“After just one use, I woke up with much more hydrated, plumper, smoother looking skin – and it’s continued to improve the condition of my skin.
“I don’t usually write reviews but this is a fantastic product that deserves all the credit.”
Just because hyaluronic acid isn’t marketed as a key supplement as of anti-ageing, doesn’t mean it’s benefits should be overlooked.
It’s important to understand that lots of normal products can be anti-ageing, such as ones containing vitamin C, but they just don’t have “anti-ageing” on the label.
“With plant derived hyaluronic acid, this product leaves the skin feeling moisturised,” Boots’ in-house formulators said.
The benefits of the mask include moisturising the skin, hydrating on a deeper level and helping the surface glow.
It’s also a vegan-friendly product as Boots doesn’t test on animals.
“Apply a layer to the skin and gently massage until absorbed,” the scientists instructed.
“Leave it overnight, do not rinse, and use it two to three times a week.”
